Default ‘94 940. ?grounding? wire problem

Hi, i had to change my heater hoses recently, when re attaching them i noticed a loose wire.
As i didnt detach the hoses im not sure where this wire was or came from. Ive been through my Haynes and around the internet but cant find anything on it.
so what is it?
Shes running fine, so im generally inclined to not mess around. I assume its a grounding wire but honestly not a clue.
any help and advice would be amazing.
even just the name of it would help because its hard to know what to google. 😅
thanks

That attaches under one of the valve cover nuts at the rear of the engine.

It's a grounding wire, quite vital for the fuel injection to function properly.
