150 kPa cap
Is it ok to run a 150 on my 86 245?
It was building any pressure so I borrowed the cap from my 94 945 which is 150. The 245 was a 75.
It now has pressure in the coolant hoses.
Couldn't find a 75 locally.

I'd get the right cap. May be the cap you had was bad. But a 150 cap would keep much more pressure than a 75lbs cap before releases--may be unhealthy. I tend to follow Volvo's recommendations when in doubt.
It is not ideal and I would only use it temporarily until I get the correct one. With that said, I see Volvos pictured on the internet all the time with the wrong caps and they seem to be running fine and with them.
You've got twice the pressure for a system designed for half. Nothing good can come out of it. Go order another cap. What does the 75 KPA cap do. Does it blow off coolant
