Hi,

The inside door handle (lever/slide style) of my 1982 240 seems to have broken. The spring still works on the actual lever, but it no longer triggers the door lock. Now I find myself leaving the car through the passenger side. However...I should mention that I can still get in the driver's side from the outside. I just can't leave. Is there anything I should know before I take the driver's side door panel off to investigate?

Possible the rod came off.
Possible the latch is bad.
