1983 245 b23f alternator seems loose?

Default 1983 245 b23f alternator seems loose?

bracket maybe loose the alternator bounces around alot car starts and drives fine holds a charge just worries me any thoughts?

Is this a test? Just tighten it up.

The rubber mounting bushings can wear out. If you have radial play at the bracket, that means they are worn out. I got polys from rock auto for the cheapest price I've seen. If that's not it, they I would agree with Jag. Tighten that baby up!

Titan Joe, what is the alignment of these bushings? Meaning how do the guy on? Which way does the lip face... Thanks...

It could be the bushings like Titan mentioned. I just replaced mine with polyurethane ones also. The lip faces inward just like the ones that are probably there now.
