Default 1987 240 automatic trans. tailshaft bushing

I've got the drive line disconnected from the transmission. I'm having trouble removing the part the drive shaft connects to that goes over the splined tail shaft. Yes, i've removed the bolt that goes through it into the end of the shaft. Am I missing something else here? I suppose i'll need to break down and find a puller to do it, eh?
Thanks guys

Yep as normally it would just pull off. So you must have maybe a burr on the end of the spline. Give it a few raps with a hammer . If it still doesn't come lose then you need a puller.

jag,
OK, I've done the hammer thing so I guess the puller it is. Just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing something else on the yoke I'd not seen before.
Thanks,
Gus

If I could attached pictures I would. Id really like for youse to see this. I had to use a puller to get the yoke out. It pulled hard nearly all the way.
Long story short; I am now in search of a tailshaft housing and a different yoke as well.
It's a mess I tell ya! Poor car!

Default Brick goes again!

Thanks to a good Samaritan and fellow brick enthusiast from California
the old 240 goes again.
I ended up replacing the tail shaft housing, bushing and drive line yoke.
It's all good!
Gus
