Default 1990 240 New Guy Question

I am trying to help out a friend who just picked up a 1990 240 4dr auto. Previous Owner claims it ran when parked 3 years ago. Will not start, no fuel. Pops on ether, so I know I have some sort of spark. Jumped Fuse 4 and 6, and I get fuel at the rail. No 12v at injectors while cranking.

Based on what I have read here, It could be Crank sensor, Fuel pump relay, and or radio noise relay. Before we go changing parts out blindly, anyone have any ideas which is more likely?

BTW, not a lot of Volvo experience, but familiar with Bosch FI from owning many VW's.

Thanks

I would start with fuel pump relay, before that though check the battery terminal...there is a fuse box coming right off of the terminal that is the main source of power for the fuel system.

No fuel, good, get all the old gasoline out of that tank first before you run it in the system anymore. There is no radio suppression relay(your radio noise relay) on a 240. Crank sensor may be a culprit, but if you are not getting fuel, fuel relay could be the problem.
Try this In the Tank - 240 Volvo Tank Pump and Sender the first part where he test's the pump. Will not be your in-tank pump though, causing a no start. Main pump maybe. If you try that jumpering with the paper clip, and get the main pump to work, the relay might be bad.
Also, when you turn the key in the running position before cranking it, do you hear the fuel pump you just tested? If not, the fuel pump relay is bad.

Just to clarify a few things...

Battery terminals and connectors cleaned and good.

25A Blade fuse connectors cleaned, fuse replaced with new.

Fuse box blades and fuses cleaned.

Jumped fuse 4 and 6, both pumps run, car will not start.

Turn key to on and pumps will not run.

No 12V signal or pulse at injectors.

Already checked the fuel pump/sender tutorial. thanks tho.

Oh, sorry. Totally read over what you said you already did .
I would start with a good know fuel pump relay, Volvo brand $40, but a knock off can be had for $10. Crank sensor $40 or so, but won't do you any good with no fuel.

Those pumps should run with the key on, because this is a LH 2.4 as well. Go with the relay.

I'm thinking that it's probably not the relay that's keeping the car from starting, only because he already tried bypassing it by jumping the 4 & 6 fuses. When the relay went out on my 240, I was able to start the car and get home by doing that. The relay could still be bad, but there may be another problem as well. Bad ignition switch maybe?
