1990 740t sunroof no controls

Cool 1990 740t sunroof no controls

hello and good day just bought this my 2nd volvo(1st 1990 240gl) and loving it but the sunroof has no way of opening. Its Not Power And no handle to use.So i went yp Pick ur Part and got a dash switch that looks like it might open a sunroof But my car has no plug to go with it. Im not dumb 15 years nissan wholesale parts Dad a master Meck in his day .There is a dummy cover just behind the rear view mirror on the roof but have not open it up yet .can u help Thanks guys love all your input.

If there is a sunroof there, it has a switch to control it. Maybe you can post pictures of your dash so we can point it out to you.

There is a chance that the sunroof was giving a PO problems so they had it disconnected.

Pretty sure all 90 turbos had power sunroofs originally. Pull the cover and you should see the motor. After all this time, as mentioned by Robert, a prior owner may have simply deleted the switch from the dash. It should be in the row of rockers immediately to the right of the ignition key. I think most folks assume the motor fails and give up. My personal experience is it is the switch itself that fails...but that's just my experience. YRMV.
