Default What RPM should 740T be at going 65'ish?

I am trying to figure out if the OD is working or not. Last night at 65mph the rpm was approx. 2500. Is that about right? Thanks.

If you push the button on the shifter does it downshift? Also that sounds pretty close.

no, nothing happened except the light (arrow) on the dash lit up. I thought this meant I was out of overdrive.

When the light is on you are out of overdrive. When the light is off you are in overdrive.

My 87 740 Turbo runs about the same, 2500 at 65. If you hit the overdrive button, the light comes on and your rpms will jump considerabley

So I guess this means I am in OD, but since I am not getting a jump in rpms when I hit the button, the OD is not working. Thanks.

One more related question. What kind of gas mileage should I expect given relatively easy combo driving, where I am trying to go light on the turbo usage? Thanks.
