1990 B230F FI System Temp Sensor Ritual . . .
Greetings!
Got a question regarding the 1990 B230F (Regina version): Where is the FI temp sensor (Bosch #0 280 130 069 according to IPD) located on this engine?
Everyone claims this part is under intake runner #3. The Green Book (TP 30871/1, page 40) seems to indicate placement under runner 4 -- but this could be for the LH version only(?)
Confused...
Item 2: I have seen a couple of different approaches to R&R ops for this part.
Removing the intake manifold is one method; but this would necessitate retightening the manifold purely by guesswork (no apparent way of torquing the runner nuts to spec) AND would likely break a few odd bits along the way.
I know starter removal is a bear with respect to the top bolt in these cars (740); but this would seem, on balance, to be a better approach to the situation -- and much simpler. Get it from underneath! Bonus: nothing but cusswords and busted knuckles in that effort.
That's the theory, at least...
Has anyone tried something like this when changing out the FI temp sensor under runner 3 (or 4)?
Thanks a bunch for the input!

Rescued from the dungeon!
Here are two uncommon approaches which seem quite valid -- and don't entail breaking things (including knuckles!):
For the record, I didn't need to resort to any of this: The Regina coil pack was just loose on its mounting plate.
Going to try running the little beastie for a while after this quick amendment to see if the periodic stumble issue is resolved. If not, I now know what I'll be doing to wrap things up...
Cheers!
