1991 940 turbo, power seat won't move up and down
i just bought a 1991 940 turbo, and the power driver's seat will not move up and down. it moves back and forth, and the backrest moves, but will not go up and down.
what could it be, and how do i check it?

are there seprate motors for each movement of the seat? beacause i can move the seat back and forth and the backrest moves back and forth, but i dont have and up and down movement, and if there are all on one one motor then i have power to the motor.
i just pulled the button assembly away from the seat and all of the solders are intact.
i dont think the buttons are sticking, i messed with them for a while and used a screwdriver to try and pry the buttons in each direction, but still no up and down movement.
i dont think anything is stuck in the tracks for the up and down movement, since i dont hear the motor working when i hit the up and down button.
i was thinking that maybe the button itself may be bad, but there are two buttons for the up and down movements, one for the front part of the seat and one for the back section of the seat, and both are not working. so the odds aren't good that both of the buttons are bad.

it does appear to have 3 seprate motors, although i dont know where on the motor to put power to in order to check it... it looks like the wires are sealed in at the motor with some sort of clear/yellowish substance(dont really know how else to explain it).
i also see a green relay underneath the seat, does this have anything to do with power to the motors? if so, how do i check the relay?
