Default 1991 volvo 240 starter

Surely there must be on this forum a tutorial for changing the stater motor on a 1991 240. I could not find one. I also could not figure out how to use this forum. When I entered key words, I got responses I did not understand.
Can some one direct me to the right place?
thanks,

Jerry

And here I was thinking I'd have to swing the trans down and undo the top bolt that way. Now I know!

Default Regarding Search

The search function in most forums is junk; better to "google" it. This forum is generally a diagnostic and informational forum in my experience and not really heavy on diy content. Getting a trove of diy together involves a great deal of effort and in a lot of cases, individual fixes involve novel solutions which clutter up diy resources. There are rarely universally agreed upon diy fixes.

The best diy is to purchase a quality shop manual for your car like a set of Greenbooks if you can find them- or a Bentley, Chiltons or Haynes manual and go from there.

One of the things forum members can do to make this a better resource is to do what the OP has done here; that is to clearly state the issue in the thread title. That way, a "google" or forum search has a better chance to pull up useful information.
