Hello,

I'm experiencing a problem with my old Volvo 1991GLT and I hope you can advise on it.

The cabin gets very smelly when turning on the vents or the aricon.
I suppose the problem might be the cabin filter,
considering as well the car is pretty old.
Can anyone suggest me where the filter is located and possibly how to replace it?

I don't think the 240 had a cabin filter.

You could try an air conditioning cleaner which you will be able to buy at any parts shop. I have found this one to be very effective and use it at the start of summer as my 850 does not have a filter: http://www.commaoil.com/News/newsairconcleanhtm.htm.

You may have to redo it after a couple of months if it is very bad.
