Default 1992 940 GL Noise in the front right wheel area while driving

I am noticing a whirring [for lack of a better term] or low thumping sound from the right front wheel area of the car while in motion. The thumping increases in frequency the faster I go, but does not seem to change pitch while braking.

The sound stops when the car is stopped and sound like a faint brushing sound every rotation of the tire if driven slowly.

I think it is something in the wheel bearing or other suspension component and do not think it is the brakes.

Any idea what could be causing this and how difficult it is to fix?

Thanks!

Could be a bad tire or wheel bearing. Rotate your tires front to back. If the noise moves to the back or goes away, you know it's the tire. If the noise stays the same, it's the bearing.
