Default 1992 volvo 240 wagon stalls out only in the morning

hello, I am looking at my friends car. The car will stall out when you try to give it gas. Wierd thing is that it's only happening very early mornings on a cold start. smells very heavily like gas.. during the day or if you let it warm up the car is fine. I'm getting no codes from the car. I going to try and hook up a fuel pressure gauge and a fuel injection test light for tomorrow morning.

I unplugged the MAF sensor and the car still stalled out. Could the ECT sensor be causing the issue? i was thinking of swapping it out. thanks!

Yes, the ECT could be causing that very issue. But it would also be a good idea to check the Crankshaft position sensor and associated wiring.
