Default 1993 940 turbo

I bought this car a couple of months ago with 450,000 miles on the engine. It runs extremely well, turbo kicks in very well. The seller used conventional oil. Should I use synthetic oil in an engine with this mileage? I have read pro and con but don't want to take chances with gaskets, seals, etc.

There is no need at this point. It has gone this far on conventional, why change now. Probably won't cause any problems but may leak... can't argue with 450K miles on the clock!
