Default Volvo 940 Turbo Oil

Just curious , I bought a 92 940 Turbo & have no idea why I forgot to ask the previous owner what kind of oil he used . & the oil light came on recently & just wondering what kind of oil I should use , I live in southern Cali . Thank you

Use 10-30 weight recommended by Volvo, preferably full synthetic--better for the turbo charged cars. Change every 4-5k miles along with Mann filter.

You might want to add a location to your profile. In this case oil weight might be different depending on how far north or south you are or if you are north american, european, ...

Up here in the cold I run Mobil 1 0-40 from Walmart all year long.

That is a oil pressure switch light. I hope your engine isn't dead yet.

indeed, the light means nearly zero oil pressure, which happens when you're around 3 quarts low (out of 4.5 total)
