1995 940 - no stop lights
just a minor problem. The car has no brake and high mount lights when the brake pedal is depress. Check #4 fuse with test light- ok. check power at brake light switch at pedal - none. After reading and research, there is a relay for the bulbs that could be the problem. Is it located behind the fuses. I see a red round relay way back behind the fuses. I remove the cluster to reach it with no success. How do I get to it. Thanks
The piece of dash directly above the fuses can be removed. That will give you more access.
There is a plastic plate/cover over the cigarette lighter. Remove that cover and you will see a Phillips head screw in the upper left corner. Remove that screw and you can then remove the dash piece.

Travel to a local u pull it salvage yard. got the relay for $3.00. Replace the red bulb failure relay/sensor behind fuses. all lights operating normally.. thanks for your help dytha99 ..
