1995 940 Turbo & White Smoke
Hi,
I am having white smoke coming from my tail pipe. Usually, it only
happens when I am in reverse, and when I shift into drive (for the first
few seconds). It has a smell to it...I guess you would say it'sburned smell to it??? The temp gauge doesn't show any issue with overheating. I have also tried letting it warm up longer, and the issue still persists. I also want to mention that I've noticedmy city gas mileage is declining.Any idea as to what could be going
on? Thanks for your help!!"

White smoke normally means moiture in your system.Has the lambda light come on on the dashboard? Have you checked your oil dipstick to see if any water has mixed with your oil, thus leaving a whiteish pasty residue on your oil filler cap and dip stick. If this is found,it is possible your head gasket has blown.
