I am looking at a 1984 242 and don't know if the fuel injection system is LH-Jetronic or K-Jetronic. I have read that most 84s had K-Jetronic but other places say the LH -Jetronic was used after 1982. The owner is not sure which he has. Would the VIN number be of any help?

 

A 84 non turbo 240 (in the US) will have electronic injection (LH and 1982 was the first year). A 84 Turbo 240 uses CIS injection (K).

 

Would this be the LH 2,2? Would the injectors be black top or yellow top? Thanks for your help
