Unhappy Volvo 240 fuel distributer

Hello y'all,
I have a 1992 Volvo 240 and it has a problem with the fuel distributer, 3 out of 4 of them don't work. There is no way to buy a new one, but will a Bosch fuel distributer repair kit fix it?

0438100073 Repair Kit for Bosch Fuel Distributor K Jetronic Volvo 240 2 1i | eBay

Well, your car, a '92 240, doesn't have a "fuel distributor"... The kit you are looking at is for earlier 2.1 engine.

By "3 out of 4" don't work, what do you mean, the injectors don't work, what?

My car is kinda different, the Volvo cars in my county have an engine called "k jetronic" they are a 2.0.. And I'm not sure but my mechanic said that 3 out of 4 injectors don't go to the engine and he told me that there is a problem with the distributer

OK, where are you? Kjet is the injection that uses a fuel distributor, it has individual fuel lines coming out of it going to the cylinders, is that what you have? I don't believe Volvo used that in 1992 but I may be wrong. Here in the US a '92 LH injection which is different. May be you can post a picture?

That style system ended in the mid 80's in the US market but if thats what you have that should be the correct repair unit.

The thing with these systems is they are referred to as continues injection systems. Basically when you build fuel pressure, it forces a valve back and opens the injector, then it simply stays open for the duration of use. If any one of those o-rings are bad you will be leaking fuel, sucking in air...any mess of issues and therefore have fuel issues.

For a 2.1 that is the correct repair kit as it sound like 3 of the 4 "injectors" aren't working or are jammed.
its simply an unusual engine for the year

check the 4 lines going up to the engine and make sure they are not blocked before purchasing the kit, just in case.
