Default 240 pwr window regulator broken. Weldable?

The regulator arm has snapped. 1991 240 electric windows. It looks like it might be aluminum. Anyone know if it is aluminum and/or, can it welded or brazed? If not, i may attempt to fashion a patch. Please advise.

Driver's window I presume? Did it break at the pivot or where? A picture would help...they are steel, not aluminum so could certainly be welded...but why not just pick up one from the salvage yard? The motors are separate so you could re-use your known good one. All the regulators I've seen fail have been at the pivot...never seen an arm break mid point. As a tip, 240 power window motors seem to work loose, making the window travel slower and bind. Nearly all the 240 doors I've seen had loose motor bolts; there are 4 per motor...10mm I believe. Always good to give them a tug.

Better get a used one... that's what I'd do unless your best buddy is a welder...
