240 Trans not engaging after filter change
So along with a basic tuneup my friend and I decided to do a filter and fluid change on our 1991 Volvo 240 wagon. Fluid was looking pretty dark so figured it could use it. Doing it as I’ve seen in videos and read online and just from common sense of doing it before on other vehicles, the car wouldn’t shift at all afterwards. Just had park and everything else acted as neutral. Fluid level wasn’t low, no leaks, etc.
what could we have done wrong? Should we do a flush? All we did was a drain and fill with the filter so that’s all I could think of. Or we somehow did the filter wrong?? Not sure how though it’s pretty straight forward.
