hey all! This is my first post on the forum and Im looking forward to some interesting ideas with this question. If someone else has brought it up, forgive me I tried searching but could not find a thread. My boyfriend and I recently purchased a 1991 240 Wagon, and Im in love! Im considering a serious body modification and would like some input. I would like to install a pop top (like vans have) onto the wagon for camping, and well, i think it'd be cool! Any ideas on how to make it work?

Welcome....This is more of a maintenance site, so you might want to search other site for that question....

A camper top:
That would require some serious body/ structural work to the roof and pillars of the car. Cost a good amount of $$$$$ if you guys can't do the work yourselves.

It would be interesting to see, for I have never seen it done.....

well, i have been looking at other sites as well, just wanted some volvo ppl opinions... we will definitely have some questions in the upcoming weeks as we get her checked up and begin a few mechanical fixes that weve already noticed need help. we will be doing most the work on her ourselves. but i'd really like to tackle the camper top project, i think itll be a fun challenge!
