3&4 only?(blower speeds)

no 1st or 2nd speeds on my blower, changed the switch and no difference. what next?(89 240 dl)

There should be a resistor somewhere on the car.That controls the different fan speeds. I will try to find out where it is.

Any idea as to where the fan speed resistor is located?

Nothing positive but I think is is by the switch.

My 745 it is right above the fan motor...but that wasn't the problem with mine, the bushings were seizing in the motor, only higher speeds gave it enough current to turn.

Hmmm? I hope its not near the blower motor, it seems like these cars were built around those things. ( long way to get at it properly!)

The resistor is located above the blower motor. From what I am told it is about 6-8 inches long and about 2 inches wide.
You have to pull alot of the dash apart to get to it.
