My 740 central locking is working fine, for all my doors but the boot just clicks and won't open! I don't have a key for the boot! is there anyway to get in, I've tried taking the back seat out, but if it's all filled with steel. HELP, help, please. I don't mind if I destroy the boot lock I destroy the boot lock. THANKS sorry I should have said it's a 1987 auto .

good locksmith ought to be able to pick it.. although i thought there was only one master key that operated every lock on the car including ignition? should be available from volvo dealer with VIN number.
all else fails, when in doubt drill it out!

I have 4 keys for my 89. One of them is the valet key which will only open the doors and the ignition. All other keys will open everything including the trunk. So it seems you may have a valet key . I assume you tried to use your key to open the trunk? As mentioned above you either need to go to Volvo with the vin# or see if a lock smith can open it.
