740 drivers window ...
so I test drove a 740 turbo-wagon I really liked today.
one minor thing, when I lowered the drivers window and sent it all the way back up, there was a horrible air leak at speed right at my ear. turns out when the window is all the way up, it shifts slightly forward so its not firmly in the track at the back. drop it just the tiniest amount and it falls back in the track and is quiet again.
can this be adjusted out? owner told me her shadetree mechanic had recently replaced the window regulator.
car is so cheap and in such good shape otherwise, I'm probably going to buy it.

(needs tires, front seat covers, this air leak thing, and rear trunk hatch struts. ran great, strong engine + tranny. cheap! perfect(!) body with no rust, dings, paint was perfect, no sign of any body work ever).

this is poa problem. there is a minor adjustment of the regulator which rarely solves the problem. usually it is du to worn out track guides. some folks bend back the front track but i ve never gotten great results this way.
point of aggrivation??
we used to use some of the spray silicone lubricant in the front and rear window felts to help the window glide easier, maybe that's all it needs? my 940 is doing the same right now, but keep forgetting to buy some... might be worth a try...
