740 gle 1988
Well my brain is stumped,I just don't get this car.so it starts up no problem idles like a champ,I go to accelerate and it just bogs out .let off on the accelerator and find the spot and the rpms start to rise but what is it that I'm overlooking.
is it a turbo? i had the big silicone rubber hose on the intake side of the turbo go 'soft' from too much oil leaks, and under heavy accelleration, it would get sucked into the turbo, allowing in air that bypassed the MAF/AMM, causing massive loss of power. back off, engine woudl recover, accelerate more gently, no problem. solution was to replace that big silicone hose.
on a non-turbo, a cracked duct anywhere downstream of the MAF could do the same thing.
