740 T transmission problem
Hello to All. I have a 89 740 T with 280k mikes on it and am starting to have some transmission problem. It seems like the wagon takes along time to shift up between gears and it is not going into 4th (overdrive) gear very much any more even if I am going down the freeway. Once in a while if I am climbing a hill going around 60 MPH it will go in. Anybody have any insight or experience with a problem like this? I am hoping that I will not need to replace/overhaul the transmission. I will probably retire it if that is the case. Thanks in advance.
