Default 83 240 no start

was working on my car to try to install the radio (there is no hot wire. tried to connect wire directly to fuse box. didn't work) and a little while later went to start the car to leave with no success. engine just cranks and doesn't fire. there is a fuel leak in one of the hoses going to the in-tank fuel pump (not the one that goes to the main pump). has been having trouble starting when sitting, requiring 3-5 seconds of cranking, then fires, then idles low so i step on the gas and it works fine from there. when i was working on the radio, i turned the key to the 2 position several times. i want to check the fuse for the fuel pump in the engine bay but CANNOT FIND IT. very frustrating. everywhere i read just says on the LH side front fender but i see nothing there, except some connectors plugged into this little metal thing screwed into the fender. HELP.

Pretty sure the fuse for the fuel pump is in the fuse panel inside the car. The plastic door should list what all of the fuses are for.

yes i believe as well its inside the car...on the other hand that happened to me when i got mine...had intermittent starting only to discover it was one of the relays, not sure if it was a fuel pump relay or the injectors relay but it wasnt the relay itself, one of the wires had unlocked from the connector and was slipping off slowly from the prong on the relay. being as u were working on the radio, you could have mistakenly moved the connections down there and shook it loose.
