Hey I have been getting around 10mpg in my wagon. And was just wondering is this normal. And of not what could I check that could be causing this. Thank you.

 

Mileage depends upon driving habits and location. Those cars were never good on gas from the beginning. They were EPA rated somewhere around 20 combined driving. A 1985 Caprice with a 5.0 L engine was rated as 18 combined, to give some perspective.

 

An '85 245 should be getting at least 20 MPG, closer to 25, pushing 30 on the highway. Is it running OK besides the bad mileage? You must have some major fuel delivery issue to be getting this poor a mileage; the usual "get a tune up", "pump up your tires" may get you a couple of better MPG but not 100% improvement you should look for.
