86 240DL Camshaft Seal Oil Leak - Help Please
I have a 1986 Volvo 240DL Wagon (245 type) that started dripping oil and spilling out onto the exhuast and smoking. The oil tank was bone dry when I checked. It appeared to be coming out of a cracked valve cover gasket seal, so I went and replaced that. However, it continued to leak out of the back of that area. Placing my hand behind it I felt it still leaking on the rear camshaft seal. So, I went over to the nearest NAPA and got the part for $10 and am ready to replace. I was wondering if someone could walk me through that and what it may entail. Would I have to remove the entire camshaft, I assume at the least open up valve cover again. Can anyone suggest if the leak may be something else other than the rear camshaft seal?
Thanks very much in advance.
