Hey Just wondering if anyone can help me out here. My Volvo 240 has a leak where the cooler line meets the transmission. Its leaking a good amount and getting on the the exhaust pipe creating a ton of smoke. just wondering if where it connects has some type of bushing or gasket that might to be replaced..

Have you tried tightening that big nut? If it still leaks you may try JB Weld--no gasket.

 

Yeah, it's a flare fitting. New lines were still available from Volvo 2 years ago; not sure about now. Often snugging the fitting up is all that's needed...best to use a line wrench if you have one.
