the other morning i came out to my 244 sedan and started it right up, i forgot somthing in the house so i ran in to get it and no more than a minuit later i came out and the car had stoped. it ran just fine the night before and started right up before it died. I ran some tests and its getting plenty of fuel, but there is no spark and it seems that the coil is not getting any juice thus why i have no spark...what contolls the coil or rather what in that system could fail just all of a sudden? any help would be great. thanks

 

ignition control module, powerstage i believe they are the same.

 

Either the computer or the impulse sender in the distributor. The computers rarely fail but the impulse senders do fail sometimes on cars with high miles. Both of these things are difficult to test on your own and will probably require you to take it down to a volvo shop.
