Here's my problem. I had just had some problems with my alternator/battery. I replaced both and my belts and everything ran fine for about a week. Then last weekend as I was driving down a country road my car lost power going up a hill, almost as if it ran out of gas, and died on the side of the road and then refused to start. It turns over, just no combustion. After I got it towed home I tested the battery, putting out 12.5v. I couldn't get any spark out of my spark plug cables so i'm guessing its an electrical problem. To test that i sprayed starter fluid into the intake and it still wouldn't start. So i replaced the ignition coil and still nothing.. I cant even get a spark out of the coil. Any ideas? undo the upper screws on the timing belt cover
enough so you can pull it back to see if it is turning while cranking

 

MY timing belt is broken.. Would that cause my problems? Just kidding.. Thanks

Usually, you can just pull the oil cap and watch the cam...lots easier.
