Default '88 240DL crank sensor location?

anyone know how to access the crank sensor on an '88 240dl? it seems accessible on older models, but might be buried on an '88. thanks in advance for any advice!

an 88 doesn't have a crank position sensor, it has a hall sensor in the distributor, instead.

CPS (crank position sensor) is used on LH2.4 systems, which are used on 1989+ 240/740/940 (except turbos, the 89 turbo was still LH2.2, they upgraded to 2.4 in 1990)
