Default 88' 240dl, engine starting problem, need feedback

I have a 1988 240dl. The problem iv been having is that the car engine cranks but wont start outside when it sits for the night in the dewey air. but will start after the day warms (i live in florida) the car will always start in grarage. thought it was the distributer cap, so i changed out the cap and rotor. still same problem occured. im at a dead end any help would be appreciated.

Silly questions...

1. Did you use the correct size rotor?
2. I would pull the plug wires, and check them with a meter to see if they're getting spark.

If you're getting spark across the board, I would move to check fuel... has the car been sitting long (no obv not, nm)... but perhaps you have some water accumulated into your fuel system?

What do your plugs look like?
