Default 88 245 Electrical problem...

hi all,
i have what i'm pretty sure is an electrical problem and was wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction. symptoms are:

1) service light is half lit(flickering) but if you turn on headlights or accelerate it becomes solid along with the battery, brake light, parking brake, bulb out light lighting up
2) there is no difference between zero and first notch on the blower
3) right (passenger) license plate light is flickering

some person mentioned it could be an ignition problem, i did use to have a heavier keychain or a ground problem somewhere...
thnx

At least some of these issues are unrelated. For instance, the two license lamps are piggy backed...if one blinking, it is a localized issue. If it were related to the other issues, both lights would be wonky.
Always check grounds..if it isn't a maxim w/ Volvos, it should be. I'd say drag out a digital volt meter and start checking the alternator output and volt drop to battery. Won't necessarily be the issue but it's good to start at the beginning.
