My 92 245 will not engage into fourth gear. The OD light comes on and off whenever i depress the OD button, but most of the time the OD will stay stuck (no light on). It just wont shift into fourth?
Does the solenoid go bad/stuck activated?

if it's an auto take off the solenoid and grind a groove betwen the 2 small holes on the solenoid. needs to be about one eigth inch deep. ipd parts also sells a blank for this for 40 bucks.
