We drove the car last nite to the store and all was great, thisw morning my wife went out to brush the snow off the car and start it temp was - 20 last nite (remember we are in canada so we use celcius ) so not a big deal the car has started trouble free in colder weather without being pluged in !
She turned the Key and it started for about 3 seconds and then stalled.
now is a no start situation . it seems to almost start but just wont quite catch.
I checked for spark off the coil and i have spark.

When I turn on the key I do not here the fuel pumps kicking in.
but can here a ticking sound from some where under the hood when i turn on the key ....

Please may I get some help ? Where do i start now ?

I have been back outside to check on my car and have pluged it in and pulled out the plug's ( platinum) ... they are wet with fuel ! I dryed them off in the oven and cranked the car over without the plugs in or the coil wire attached and it spit a bunch of fuel out so i repeted this a few times and put the plugs back in .... came very close to starting but no go and it flooded again ! ang suggestions ?


Cranked over again without plugs in and replaced with new plugs.
car has been pluged in for 7 hours now ...turn the key and it started .... I gave it a bit of gas and had it running for about 5 or 6 seconds and it died ...now its flooded again ! ......
Please help !

 

I went out at lunch time today after leaving the car alone for 12 hours and plugged in. I turned the key and no go then i remembered a previous thread that i read so i turned the key to the on position and left it on for about 1 min
turned it over and held it for about 30 seconds and it started ... i had to hit the gas though but it's running ....

Any idea's ????
