88 Volvo 740 gle how to run a new wire to power up the intank fuel pump?
I have a 88 Volvo 740 gle anyone know which wire is to power up the intank pump at the connector in the trunk? The original issue is the main fuel pump doesn’t power up because there’s a short in the original 2 wires going to the main pump there’s no 12v power in those wires what I did to get the car running for now is disconnected the power wire and ram a new wire from the pump to the fuse location for power windows #8 and used the exiting original ground wire to the pump now when you turn on the key to the on position the fuel pump powers up and runs since the power windows have power too and been driving the car but it stalls and bogs down if you give it to much gas you have to slowly give it gas till it picks speed. It might be doing this because the intank fuel pump is not on since the main pump is bypassed using power windows power source.
