Default 89 240 reverse

I don't think there's anything wrong YET, but when I put my car in reverse, it sounds like I'm grinding gears. Any ideas?

Thanks for any advice.
I must say, I'll enjoy coming here for help instead of pestering my dad all the time.

Ill check in the morning. Its currently too damn dark and cold to do anything outdoors. And it only does it with reverse.

But carried over from the other thread, what is inferred by those last numbers? Cause all I know about my car is that its a 240.

Ok...report back tomorrow.

Well the ending numbers are what the model is. Coupes get the "2" sedans get the "4" and wagons get the "5". For example: A 240 Coupe would be called a 242. A 240 turbo coupe (2door)would be called a 242t. A 240 sedan (4door) would be called a 244. A 740 turbo wagon would be called a 745t...ect...ect.

well then i have a 244.
and when i have the money, im seriously considering upgrades. virginia drivers suck as it is, and im already sick of getting harassed because of slow acceleration.
and then a paint job. although im becoming attached to the ruddy exterior; i think it deters thieves.

Yeah...I dont really want to address my paint right now but my dad keeps telling me to get the car "presentable."
I like the old look, and that makes it a sleeper.

Right now I have TME lowering springs, Bilstein HD shocks, CherryTurbo upper and lower strut braces, SS brake lines, PBR pads, Brembo Rotors, A Custom CAI, and MBC @ 11psi
With the mods I have now, I think I am making 170whp, which is pretty quick, and it handels really well.
I want to put forged internals, bigger turbo and injectors, IPD turbo cam and gear, and a better exahust. If Idid those mods and did some good tuning, I think i could make 300whp.

Is yours turbo'd?

I'm going to take a safe guess and say no. My dad had a **** fit when I told him I wanted to put a turbo in my automatic. But now that this car is in my name I can do what I want to it. I just have to wait until I have the finances to be able to purchase upgrades.

I saw thatyour current ride is aDL....Oh...bad news....they are slow. I would sell it and find a turbo model.

I dont think there is much you can do to a DL unless you wanted to do a complete Swap, but that would take too much time and money.
