can someone tell me what i did wrong here...here is the situation i just got 89 740 volvo turbo at high RPM's the power cuts out sound like its missing. (oh car was parked for over a year)so i went and got some new plugs and a rotor and put them in...i didnt remove any of the wire from the cap at all so i know there in the right place and i change the plugs one at a time...after doing all that and ready to crank the car up it wouldnt start at all ...HELP HELP HELP ...any one have link to timing repair info..

 

What makes you think of timing problems? I'd look at fuel related things, (sitting a year). See if you are gettung spark, and if so, then it's fuel, i.e., pumps, relay, filter possibly contaminated after sitting...

 

prior to me changing the plugs and rotor the car start and drive just had a missing problem around 4000rpm ...and the tank was empty when i got it.... i added fresh gas in it.....

 

Do you have spark?
