89 volvo Bertone B230FT T airbox question
I'm in the final process of restoring the 4 cylinder engine and unfortunately I didn't take a picture of the air-filter housing before taking it out; now I have no idea where to connect the hoses that were attached to the housing. There is a round device with a SEM brand name on it with two "nipples" (never seen this before) what is it for? I tried to find a diagram but no luck ... can anyone help me out? Please see pics.
Thank you

could those hoses go to the carbon cannister? might be the purge valve.
otherwise, I dunno.
oh wait. here it is in VADIS, its the 'pressure regulator' for the turbocharger. must be part of the "Turbo+" system that gives you extra boost for a few seconds if the engine isn't overheating or knocking... the lower nipple goes to a short hose that goes into the airbox, the other upper nipple goes to a longer hose that goes to the turbocharger and has a T between two short hoses that goes to the back side of either control bellow actuator thing on the side of the turbo. there's also a control unit 8360261 next to it.

Thank you for your prompt response; I went everywhere and I couldn't find anything. You are a super hero to me ... Thanks again.
If you and others in this forum don't mind, I may have question after (with your help) I re-connect all of those hoses. I think that by just looking at this "pre-historic" pressure regulator, this will be a good time to upgrade the system with a better part; would you agreed with me?
Thanks again for your help.
