Default 90 244 brake upgrade?

Hi, My son bought a 90 244 and was looking to upgrade the front solid disc brakes on the cheap.

I've recently acquired a certain 87 turbo wagon that gave up the ghost and never ran again ..[the topic of a long post here as well..] .. BTW.. still cranks to the moon..

Anyway, I've read 86[?] - 90 740 struts and brakes will fit the 240.. Is this true and what all parts will I need to pull this off? Does this include the brake booster, M cylinder and/or proportioning valve from the 740? I found it unusual this 244 has 1/2 x 20 wheel studs instead of the 12 x 1.5 metric studs on my 940 and that parts 740 for that matter..

I guess the 244 front sway bar is different from the 740 wagon as well? Any other parts from the wagon that could upgrade the 244?

Any answers would be great!

Thanks,
M.

As far as I know, the 740 had a two piston floating caliper while the 240 hada four piston fixed caliper. I don't think they are interchangeable.

Check the parts places online and look up part numbers for the 240 & 740. That's one way I check for interchangability.
