I recently bought a cluster at salvage because my speedometer had quit working. The cluster was identical to the original with the exception of the clock. The original cluster clock was electrically adjustable, while the "new" is adjusted manually. I said all this to make my point.

The fuel gauge will not work, I then replaced the gauge with one I know works however, it still will not register. The old cluster gauge is not compatible with the "new" because of the clock. The low fuel light illuminates so there is power going to it.

Does anyone have a clue about this?
note: the fuel gauge from the old did operate properly.

 

945se, that's more like a 960, the dash especially. the speedos will swap but not all 940s. did u get it from another 940se?

 

It was a 95 940

 

i don't believe those will swap
