Default 91 Volvo 240 wont start after rear main seal

Hi im new to the forum and was wondering if someone could help me out. I have a 91 Volvo 240 wagon. I recently changed the rear main seal as it was leaking very bad. When I bolted up the transmission and put it back together it wouldnt start. I checked the flywheel and set that right, changed the crank sensor cause it wasnt getting spark still. I checked the fuel pumps were working. I changed the ingnition computer. It is getting fuel and spark, and timed right. So I checked the engine compression and the best i got from any cyl was 90psi after cranking it for while. I read that it suppose to have 175psi. Could it be bad compression and if so how did it drive in and now that i changed the seal it just doesnt want to start?
Please if anyone can help on this I would appreciate it, I have already put countless amount of money and time into getting this running and got nowhere. Thank you

you set your timing on camshaft pulley-crankshaft pulley-distributor gears? did you just take off the trans and put back? or did you take the whole engine out? just wondering....

Yeah all I did was pull the trans and flywheel to change the rear main seal. We thought it was the flywheel in the wrong spot so I pulled the trans again and we mocked it up so we could start just the trans. And again its getting spark, fuel, timing cant be the issue because we tried every position with no response. The engine is getting at best 90psi of pressure and the spark plugs are getting oily after about 4-6 attempts to start.

Could just be coincidence with the rear main seal. Do all the no-start diagnoses: check for spark, fuel at the fuel rail, etc. Go to www.stepbystepvolvo.com for free guide to 740 no-starts, which may give you ideas for your 240.
