91 Volvo 940 Power Seat Issue
Replaced a defective Power Seat Control Unit. Seat works fine now. However, when moving the seat forward and backward (short person, tall person), I hear a periodic drag each second as the seat moves forward. If I move the seat all the way forward, the switch doesn't work at all. I then have to push the seat back slightly by hand for the switch to work again. Again, it goes back just fine but with this same drag each second as it moves backward.
This seems to me to point to the unit near the track that drives the gear. Any thoughts? And where does one get these motor and supporting parts?
Thanks,
Scott

Somebody elsewhere indicated that the cables coming off the motor often go out, usually the one on the right side. This might be what has happened. Say the motors don't usually go out and the gear units do not go out. Thanks for the link.
