Any reason why my 245 does not chime when the parking lights are on and the door is open? Chime works when keys are in the ignition and the door is open though. Those wiring diagrams make me sick which is where I'm thinking I should look into. But before that.... Anyone?

 

I don't remember the parking lights making any of my volvo's chime, only the key. the headlights go out with the ignition, of course

 

I started to think that but my manual says the door should chime with the parking lights on so....

ok, now I have to check my cars, heh.... (he steps out to the driveway...)... hmmm. 87 244GL, parking lights on, door open, no chime. 92 745T, door open, parking lights on, no chime. 1996 855T, door open, parking lights on, nada dingding.

the door sensor switch is working on all these cars as the courtesy lights come on.

 

Is this strange then? Maybe this was some random option no one ordered.
