Default '94 940 Tranny swap?

Hi, I have a 1994 940 with the B230F and the AW71 automatic transmission. I want to swap a M90 or M47 5-speed to replace the automatic 3-speed. What difficulties will I occur in a) finding a M90/M47 b) swapping in the M90/M47. For reference, I would not be doing the work myself and I am located in eastern Canada.

Any assistance is appreciated!

Note: I am also open to a M46 swap as well.

If you are not going the swap yourself, you will not encounter any difficulties.

That being said, I believe there are quite a bit of turbobrick members in eastern Canada... Maybe you can ask one of them for advice.

The m46/47 and m90 all where found in the 740/940s depending on country.

M90 is supposed to be the strongest one. All the parts are available to swap, even nee part can be found at ipd or the dealer. Like clutch forks etc...

Who is doing the work for you?
