Default 940 Rainwater Issues...

Greetings everyone! I've owned my '95 940 Estate for almost a year now, but if you live in Texas you know that yesterday we got one of the highest amounts of rainfall ever recorded for August. Unfortunately, my car was parked outside and when I came out later that evening, the entire rear driver side floorboard was soaking wet with water. The driver floorboard was also soaked as well, but the worst of it being in the rear. I've searched the forums to find an answer, and I think it leads to the sunroof..? I checked the front two drain holes and the rear drain holes looked clear as well. If I remember, the rainwater drainage for the rear drains runs down the C pillar and out of the car. I also check the door seal and it looked perfectly fine as well. Do any of y'all have an idea? Thanks!

My guess is that the car was up to the door sills (at least) in water for some time. The door gaskets are no longer strong enough to keep out that amount of water and it ran in over the rocker panel into the footwells. No amount of sunroof drain blockage would cause that much water to accumulate.
Pull the carpet back, lift the padding and start wet vaccing the car. Then prop a fan in there for a couple of days or park it outside to dry out.

Thanks for the help! I've since peeled back the carpet and wet-vacced the entire side of the car, and we're now testing the car for leaks. I'll definetly look into this. Thanks again!

You might want to try this trick. I did it for the trunk seal on my S70. Foam backer-rod and some lubricant like silicone spray
